SPECIALIZED NUTRITION

THE ROLE OF SPECIALIZED NUTRITION

For Open Green, feeding means bringing about synergistic elements to the fundamental metabolism of cultivation, with the aim of harmonizing phenological development, accelerating growth and reducing the energy consumption of the plant, supplying elements, which makes the crop capable of more effective responses to the various types of stress. The passion for results and innovation, have allowed for the development of innovative formulae, able to confront numerous physiological disorders, starting from a mostly nutritional profile.

WHERE AND WHY TO APPLY SPECIALIZED NUTRITION

Proteomics, genomics and phenomics, have ever more important roles in the selection of raw materials. Specialized nutrition, harmonizes the development of the plant, implements the battle plan and allows for making defense plans more effective and efficient. Allied with the disciplines of integrated production, it is a useful instrument for redefining yield and quality according to the standards required by the market.

REDUCING THE INCIDENCE OF CLIMATIC VARIABILITY

Climate changes has made the seasons more unpredictable that at one time. Temperature shifts, freezes, repeated and prolonged water shortages, are causes of important losses in terms of quantity and quality. Specialized nutrition, offers solutions able to reduce climate effects over the season, optimizes the basic metabolism of the plant, offering points of improvement when seasons are not perfect.

ENDOGENOUS STIMULATION

Vegetable nutrition, in its concepts, adopts the same strategies, which apply to any living thing. Every living thing, including vegetables, are equipped by nature with endogenous mechanisms, autonomously to answer to biotic and abiotic events, which might attack their vitality, compromising production. Many nutritional products which Open Green makes available, start with the concept of stimulating the plant and producing or increasing the effectiveness of all those natural substances nature is equipped with, able to reply to external events, creating those actions in the biology of the plants which can make them more resistant to adversity. All with a focused diet, with the use of nutritional strategies which focus towards this aim.

REDUCING THE LOSS OF ORGANIC MATTER

One often under rated matter is the impoverishment of land in terms of organic substances. Organic substances, by nature, contain complexities of agents useful for detaining the fertilizing units introduced with pre-sowing fertilization, filtering heavy metals, toxins and reducing soil erosion. In practical terms, every year, extensive cultivation erodes important amounts in terms of organic substances. Soil impoverished of organic substances, is not very suitable for retaining the nutrients introduced and does not transfer them in an efficient manner, constraining the plants to expend extra energy to optimize their own metabolism and inevitably increasing the cost of production. For some time now, science has demonstrated that, organic substances are a factor of development, even for those microorganisms useful for promoting the development of the crop. Often, with soil poor in organic substances, the treatments and the results contradict each other. Experience tells us that a soil poor in organic substances requires more units of fertilizer and more treatment for its defense. Integrating organic substances in a localized manner, or for the full field, is a useful strategy with regard to prevention, above all for those crops where the end value is determined by qualitative parameters.

ORGANIC PRODUCTS

Modern agriculture, to provide for the growing need of organic production required by the market, ever more needs nutritional products to such requirements. Open Green, has included with its products, a series of products permitted for organic agriculture, conforming to EC Regulation N° 834/2007, dated 28 June 2007, which regulates the introducing into commerce of such products. Open Green makes available to farmers and technicians pursuing organic production, various strategies which allows for the adoption of products for nutrition, aimed at maintaining an excellent production standard and increasing the quality of the crops.

IS PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC MATTER IMPORTANT? YES, BUT IT MUST HAVE QUALITY

The distribution of organic substances may represent the first real investment for increasing the yield and quality of a crop. Generating immediately available organic matrices, with the addition of complex elements and aimed at the development of microorganisms useful to the soil and the plant, may be decisive for company profits.
